Hellooo mates! It's been a month since I've updated my blog, so I hope y'all forgive me. =D Work's been keeping me busy, so I didn't have much time to explore. Anyhow, things did happen during the past month, and here are the pictures!
Zhe Xing's 19th, 26th Aug
What's that on my cake!? Get it off!
Brisbane's River Festival, just one the many festivals they have that use fireworks. As always, beautiful explosives.
The Riverfire
Brisbane 'flyer', I'm gonna have to sit this one day.

I was feeling bored one weekend, so I did this...
Waters of Life
Then the Mid-autumn festival came, but I totally forgot about it until my friends reminded me. So we went to Chinatown to celebrate it, and the celebrations were from 10am-1pm. Yes you're not seeing things, it's in the morning. So much for a full moon and mooncakes. Darn.. Well anyway, after a performance by some rather talented Chinese musicians on their traditional instruments, there were other performances lined up as well, because Chinatown is within the Entertainment Precinct.
He's been doing this for abt 14 years.
Right after the mid-autumn celebrations, there was also another festival running called the Valley Festival, where musicians from all around Australia would gather in Brisbane to perform for the public. There were 3 stages located around Valley St, so my friends and I spent the rest of the day walking from stage to stage listening to various genres. My favourite:
Doch produces very catchy & engaging music.
My accommodation has 2 blocks, and every month, it's almost like a ritual for each block to have a false fire alarm once. I vowed to bring my camera along the next time it happened, and this was what I caught.
Response time of merely 5-8 minutes. Sweet.
And then another festival came. This one was called the Festival of Flowers, and literally, there were tons of flowers everywhere. Well, this one wasn't in Brisbane, rather it was in Toowoomba, a city in the mountains to the west of Brisbane, near the Great Dividing Range. Though quite 'touristy', it was nonetheless breathtaking.
Someday I'll be like the rest of you.
And to kick off the Festival, there was a parade.
Oink!
Free flowers anyone!
And finally, Brisbane's night life. I went to one of the bars to check out a mini competition of rock bands. And of course, to practice my event photog skills. Heh..
